Hello friends! So much happiness going on in Little’s Land recently. The weather is warming up, the flowers are blooming and Gracie is chasing squirrels up trees all around our apartment complex. We get together with friends and family almost daily, and have a blast playing games or watching baseball or just chilling out doing nothing. And we have the best fans and online friends anyone could ask for. We are really blessed!
And someone up there must be really smiling upon us, because the blessings keep coming! Last month, I wrote about how my mother and I would visit this epically huge craft fair every year in the park along the Columbia River. I loved going from booth to booth, under the old oak trees seeing everything people made and marveling at their amazing artistry. Some of my most cherished items came from that yearly fair: a hand-dipped candle, a “real” fairy wand and a glass blown dragon were among my favorites. Mom would usually pack a picnic lunch and then, with my limitless childhood energy (oh, wouldn’t that be nice to have again!) I’d spend the rest of the afternoon playing on the toys until it was time to head home.
Those are some of my favorite memories from my childhood, and I’ve always wanted to be a part of it–from the other side of the booths.
When I moved back home, I immediately began looking up requirements and deadlines for the fair, updated my state licensing and applied (which I wrote about here!). And today I am so SO thrilled to announce:
WE GOT IN!!!
YES! The Littles, Devin and I will be setting up a Bank Adoption Booth at the Art in the Park in Richland Washingtion on July 25-26! If you’re in the area, you should come say hi!
Now, I have a LOT of work to do!! While I have many Littles banks that need Forever Homes, but I need to make more for the fair. Every child who wants a friendly bank will get one!! My goal is to make 50 new banks before July 24th! (Yikes!!) In addition, I’m going to be adding a few other new products to try them out in the fair. What could they possibly be? Well, you’ll just have to wait to find out!!
I guess I’d better get back into the studio! 🙂
What goals are you working towards right now? I’d love to hear about them in the comments, we can cheer each other on!
